The accuracy of the dimension of the refractory products has direct impact on the tightness of the furnace, while the tightness of the furnace greatly determines the service life of the masonry. Therefore, the dimension inspection of refractory products is very necessary.
1) The inspection of the dimension is on the basis of the provisions of the drawing, without deduction of the taper caused by molding.
2) When measuring the dimension, the zero of the ruler should be aligned perfectly with the edge of the brick. The inner diameter should be measured with a caliper.
3) In general, the measurement of the products, unless there are special provisions, takes the size of the middle one-third part of each side as standard.
4) The measurement of the opposite sides takes the difference between the opposite sides of the same size as standard.
5) Any tolerance value expressed in percent counts to an integer and the first decimal place is calculated by rounding.
