Causes for Pores in AZS Bricks

Pores are always found on the AZS bricks, which will affect the normal use of AZS bricks. So, it is necessary to reduce or eliminate the pores.
Pores in the AZS bricks are always caused by the following factors:
(1) Graphite in the electrode falls into the melting furnace and causes pores in the bricks and makes the structure loose.
(2) When casting charged melt, the electrode continues to react with the melt. This makes the melt not dense, so the bricks are not dense too.
(3) When there are raw materials, especially the front of the furnace mouth, raw materials are brought into the cast. This can destroy the mineral structure of the bricks and cause pores.
(4) Wet furnace charge and insufficient melting temperature are two common reasons for pores.
In addition, it is important to keep the liquid passage clean.
