How To Expand The Service Life Of Glass Furnaces

With the development of the glass industry, the service life of glass furnaces is gradually improved. So is the quality of glass. 

In China, the service life of glass furnaces has been significantly expanded from 3-4 years to 6-8 years. Currently, many newly-designed glass production line can run for over 10 years, due to the improvement of the quality of refractory materials, the furnace structure, the construction quality and reasonable operation. 

 

The preheating of furnaces cannot be ignored too. Unreasonable preheating can leave many security risks, cause accidents and early drainage. For short-term economic considerations, many factories seldom choose high temperature heating, but traditional 850℃ heating. Compared to 850 heating, high temperature heating consumes more energy and needs longer temperature rising time. For a 500t/d furnace, 1150℃ heating consumes 80-100 tons more diesel fuel than 850℃ heating. Rising 850℃ to 1150℃ consumes about 100-120 tons heavy oil. 1150 ℃ heating consumes 100,000 yuan more than 850℃ heating. In addition, it takes 3-5 more days on the temperature rising. 

 

Besides, high temperature heating（>1100℃） requires a professional team. It requires not only masterful professional techcnology, but also advanced and excellent equipment. It is difficult to find a professional team for high temperature pre-heating（>1100℃）. 

 

However, 100,000 yuan vs. millions of repair expenditure and 3-5 days vs. a service life expansion of 1-2 years, which to choose? It is obvious.
