How to Eliminate Refractory Inclusions in Glass Products

The use of high quality refractory materials can not only expand the service life of the glass furnaces, but also reduce the refractory inclusions in glass products. 

The best way to eliminate refractory inclusions in glass products is to select high-quality, high-grade refractory materials if the economic conditions permit. For example, use high-grade fused cast AZS block instead of 33# WS fused cast AZS block in the sidewall of the melting zone; use WS fused cast AZS block instead of common casting AZS brick; use one single block instead of multi blocks; use 33# fused cast AZS block instead of fire clay brick in the sidewall of cooling zone; replace 33# fused cast AZS block withα-β fused cast alumina block. 

 

Another way is to solve the stoning problems caused by refractory materials from the production process. 

 

1) Make a practical melting temperature system. Take low temperature operation on the premise of ensuring the melting quality of batch materials. 

 

2) Under the premise of controlling daily output strictly and no long-term overload, try to reduce the fluctuation of daily output. The daily output should be controlled with ±1.5 t to increase the erosion of glass liquid on bricks. Additionally, long-term overload will increase the melting temperature and high melting temperature and the fluctuation of liquid level may corrode the refractory materials in the crown and sidewall. The corroded refractory materials may generate stones on the surface of glass. Therefore, controlling the daily output, reduce the fluctuation of liquid level and balancing the production is an important way to eliminate stones caused by refractory materials.
